In "Southern Lineages" we find that Arden Evans , in 1749, is living in Frederick County, Md, where, with his wife, Susannah, he is remembered in the will of Thomas Ball, (Susannah's father). Arden is made sole executor of this will. The clause, " I give to my daughter, Susannah Evans, one gold mourning ring" refers to Arden Evans' wife. Thomas Ball's land in Prince George County is located in deeds there which show that he possessed acres in the Potomac Freshes ( Maryland side or the wilderness. Arden Evans lived in the vicinity of Thomas Ball for he owned land in the same section as " Token of Love", a 97 acre tract, which Thomas Ball had purchased from Arthur Nelson on June 25, 1742. (Deed Book T,pg 124, Prince George County, Md). On December 18, 1750, Arden Evans sells to Thomas Dowden, his stock and household effects. (Deed Vol. B, pg 318). The sale of his effects in Frederick County indicate that Arden has moved to a new location. He is not traced between the time of the sale, 1750 and his arrival in Bedford County, Va., where on June 20, 1760, he witnessed a deed made by Ann Chiles of Halifax County. Also, on March 26, 1756, Harden Evans is appointed overseer of the road to be cleared from Irvins Ford on the river to Clements Ford ( Oldest Order Book, May 1754-1761). Several deeds for land purchase or sale were executed by Ardens Evans over the next few years. Finally, in March of 1784, an indenture of bargain and sale between Arden Evans and Susannah, his wife, of the one part and Richard Bloxham of the other part, ' together with the livery and seizen thereof endorsed," was proved by the solenm affirmation of Micajah Davis and Christopher Anthony, they being of the people called Quakers. ( Order Book 1, p. 271, Campbell County.) Arden and Susannah Evans are untraced after 1784, and as they left no will, it is assumed they followed one or more of their children to a new location and died there.

Child of ARDEN EVANS and SUSANNAH BALL is:
